Leaster C. Pearson, 69, of Ellerbe Grove in Rockingham, passed away on May 20, 2012, at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham.
A funeral service will be held Friday, May 25, at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, 1021 E. Washington St., Rockingham, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Darryl C. Carter, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrington Family Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Thursday, May 24, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Service of Rockingham.
Born to the late Haywood Crowder and Emma Liles Green on April 30, 1943, Leaster was educated at the Henderson Institute in North Carolina.
Survivors include her mate, Fred D. Keel; a son, Alvin Crower; two granddaughters; a great grandson; a brother, Ervin L. Leviner; a sister, Wanda Gerald; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Nelson Funeral Service of Rockingham is in charge of arrangements.
