Kim Kisiah, 54, died at home on May 2, 2012, with her family by her side after fighting an 18 year battle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Saturday May 5, 2012 at 10 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m. at Lowe’s Funeral Home at 4715 Margaret Wallace Rd, Matthews NC 28105.
She was born November 20, 1957, in Charlotte, NC to Cecil and Edna Kisiah.

Kim is survived by her parents, Cecil and Edna Kisiah, her sister Karen Kisiah Brown, her spouse Chip Brown, her two twin brothers Jimmy and Johnny Capps and her nephew who was born on her 27th birthday and who was the light of her life, Brandon Michael Brown and last but not least her baby yorkie, Boo Bear.
“And God shall wipe away all the tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21.4
Kim was a member of Steele Creek Church of Charlotte where she was baptized. Kim attended regularly until her illness made her bed-ridden. The Serenity Prayer was Kim’s favorite.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

Kim’s interest included her family, friends, gardening, decorating, painting pictures, sewing and cooking. She was always a giver and tried to care for everyone else until she became bedridden many years ago. So family, friends, TV and Boo Bear became the major elements in her life because she could enjoy these from her bed. A giver of love and friendship, Kim will be greatly missed.
Kim graduated from Independence High School in 1976 where she was crowned Miss Independence. Her career had been in Retail Management, Property Management and then she obtained her real estate license before she became sick.
