Felicia Marie Burton and Joel Christopher Padgett Jr., both of Charlotte, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Richmond Senior High School and a 2012 graduate of Empire Beauty School. She is currently a stylist at Ulta Salon in Charlotte. She is the daughter of Georgia Neivel of Shakopee, Minn., and Roger Burton of Poplar Bluff, Mo. She is the granddaughter of Wilma Duncan and the late Donald Duncan of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Jerry and Pat Burton of Conroe, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs George O’Connell.
The groom is a graduate of Richmond Senior High School and a 2011 graduate of Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte. He is employed as an Electrical Designer with United Engineering Group in Charlotte. He is the son of Joel and Christie Padgett of Rockingham. He is the grandson of Monnie Jenkins and the late John Jenkins of Rockingham, formerly of Ellerbe, Harry and Ana Ponds, and Pat and Barbara Padgett, all of Rockingham.
A 5:45 p.m. wedding is planned for July 28, 2012, at Sweet Haven Church in Rockingham with the groom’s uncle, Reverend Mitchell Roller presiding over the ceremony.
