Police are currently investigating reports of breaking and entering, larceny and injury to real property that occurred on Thursday, April 12, in Rockingham.
According to Deputy N.L. Forester of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, one or more suspects entered a residence located on Ellerbe Grove Church Road by kicking in the back door. The thieves took approximately $2,000 in items from the home.
Two young children were hiding under the bed and alerted 911 to the break in, Deputy Forester said.
The suspects, identified as two white males, then left the house in a small white car.
