Poplar Hill Masonic Lodge raised $5,000 in scholarships

The Poplar Hill Masonic Lodge #331 held a fundraiser golf tournament for scholarships. They raised $5,000 for 10 scholarships of $500 each, to be awarded to high school seniors during the Richmond Senior High School academic banquet at the end of the school year. Poplar Hill Lodge #331, 29th Masonic District-PHA, at 124 Lonnies Lane, Rockingham, raised $5,000 in scholarship money during a fundraiser golf tournament.

The lodge will donate the money towards 10 $500 scholarships, for which the recipients have been chosen. They will receive their scholarships at the Richmond Senior High School’s academic banquet.

“When everyone gives a little, we can give away a lot,” said Masonic Brother Curtis Ingram.
