Miranda Chavis was recently hired as the museum manager and downtown coordinator by the City of Hamlet.
Chavis reported that she has extended Hamlet Historic Depot museum hours, and the museum will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“Just call me at 910-417-7791 to let me know you want to stop by,” said Chavis.
Chavis also said she’d be working with the Hamlet Business Development Association on plans to increase traffic in the downtown area.
