Kimberly Dawn Ashworth and Alexander Lee Leviner Jr., both of Hamlet, were united in marriage on April 7, 2012.
The bride is the daughter of Janice Malter of Rockingham. She graduated from Richmond Senior High School in 1995 and currently attends Richmond Community College in the Health Management Technology program. She is employed as a medical transcriptionist with Cape Fear Orthopedics.
The groom is the son of Margaret and Alexander Leviner Sr. of Hamlet. He is a 1994 graduate of Richmond Senior High School and completed the BLET program at Richmond Community College. He is currently employed as a police officer with the City of Fayetteville.
The bride was given away by her mother and brother, Larry Ashworth Jr.
The wedding and reception took place on a private farm in Hamlet. The bride wore a very simple and casual white dress with sandals and the groom wore khakis and a white polo shirt. The event was attended by friends and family.
Shannon Leviner, ordained minister, officiated the wedding ceremony.
The wedding was a surprise for most family members and friends who thought they were in attendance for a BBQ. The reception was very casual as well. A BBQ prepared by various guests as well as a bonfire helped to top off the evening.
