U.S. Representative Larry Kissell (NC-08) has again earned the endorsement of the National Rifle Association (NRA) in his campaign for Congress. The NRA cited Kissell’s strong and demonstrated commitment to Second Amendment rights, and his consistent pro-Second Amendment voting record on behalf of North Carolina’s gun owners, hunters and sport shooters.

“The National Rifle Association is endorsing Congressman Kissell in the May 8, 2012 Democratic primary election because he is a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and our right to keep and bear arms,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA Political Victory Fund. “Larry Kissell’s consistent support and co-sponsorship of every NRA-supported bill this session has earned him an ‘A’ rating and endorsement from NRA-PVF.”

The NRA also endorsed Kissell in the 2010 general election, citing his voting record and work in the 111th Congress.

“I believe firmly in preserving and protecting our Second Amendment rights,” said Kissell. “I’m proud to be a consistent advocate for our gun owners and sportsmen, fighting to guarantee every American the fundamental and constitutional right to bear arms. I will continue to work to protect these freedoms in Congress each and every day.”
