Betty Jean Beckford, 68, of 171 Collins Church Road, Rockingham, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at Richmond Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Hamlet.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, April 22, at Ashley Chapel AME Zion church at 3 p.m. with Rev. Michael Massey officiating.
Public viewing will be Saturday, April 21, from 1 to 6 p.m. at McNeill Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Beckford was born May 15, 1943, in Stanford, Conn., to the late Charlie Lee and Mary Francis Lee.
Surviving are 2 sisters, Ella Ingram and Faye Ferguson of Rockingham.
McNeill Funeral Home of Rockingham is in charge of the arrangements.
