Willie Bobby Ingram, 72, of Rockingham, died March 2, 2012, at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 9, at 3 p.m. at New Direction House of Prayer, 151 Mizpah Road, Rockingham, with Rev. James Malloy, Pastor, officiating.

Mr. Ingram was born Jan. 12, 1940, to the late Vera and Lillie Mae Ingram in Rockingham. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosetta Spencer, and one brother, Billy Gould.

He is survived by his wife, Ella Ingram of the home; two sons, William B. Ingram of Washington, D.C., and Edward Jones of Rockingham; one daughter, Janice Streeter of Hamlet; seven brothers, Billy Ingram, James Pistol Ingram, Walter Coot Ingram, Johnny Ingram, Larry Ingram, Lee Gould and Don Gould; five sisters, Geraldine Ingram, Wilina Ellerbe, Sharon Brown, Betty Holloway and Pamela Pourts; eight grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Nelson Funeral Service of Rockingham is in charge of arrangements.
