Mary Edna Sellers Coble was born April 15, 1921, to Tom and Straddie Sellers in Laurinburg, NC. She passed away peacefully in her home Monday, February 27, 2012.
A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 1st at Fellowship United Methodist Church in Hamlet with Rev. Tony Joyner officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Margaret McGee, 904 Jefferson Street, Hamlet.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Alford Coble; her parents, Tom and Straddie Sellers; and seven brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish wonderful memories are her daughter, Margaret McGee of Hamlet, her son and daughter-in-law, James and Marcia Coble of Wagram; seven grandchildren, Ricky Coble, Dwight Coble and wife Sue, Jamie Coble, Woody McGee and wife Robin, Wade McGee and wife Trish, Charles McGee and wife Nicole, and Phillip McGee; eleven great-grandchildren, Lauren Coble, Jada Coble, Jack Coble, Summer McGee, Christopher McGee, Hunter McGee, Brittany Cagle, Jenna McGee, Josh McGee, Jarod McGee, Preston McGee and Jasmine McGee; three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 500 E. Morehead St., Suite 211, Charlotte, NC 28202 or Community Home Care and Hospice, 1015 Fayetteville Rd., Rockingham, NC 28379.
