Dear Editor,

It was a bittersweet moment to read the recent article in The Daily Journal regarding the recent passing of a dear man, Mr. Ed Ormsby.

Mr. Ormsby was one of the most genuine men I have ever known. He touched countless lives in Richmond County through education, charity, and his church. He had a profound way of motivating others by making them feel special.

Mr. Ormsby was a dear friend, not only to my family, but to most anyone who ever knew him. I am thankful to have known Mr. Ormsby.

The memory of his sweet smile and sincere but gentle hugs will forever be engraved in my mind. His true character, kind heart, and dedication to others certainly made Richmond County a better place. He will be sorely missed.

Thank you again for recognizing such a distinguished man and the significant impact he had on our community.

He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of which his family should be so proud.
