Dear Editor,
Recently a question was put to you about the Keystone Pipeline.
I own an underground utility locating service. I have helped build over 300 miles of Major gas line in the United States,as a locator and a consultant on a line in Idaho,Washington and Canada. These lines are above any standard of safety you will ever see.
The people that build those lines are some of the most professional in their field. On each mile laid there are around 250 workers on site. Now you multiply this by 1500 miles, these are jobs that pay over $40 per hour. Not to include the jobs made by transport companies and laborers.
They don’t work on gas line zone they’re in the background. There are over a 1,000,000 miles of pipeline in this nation.
If you have gas in your home or car it came through a pipeline. These big lines are safe. They cross rivers and lakes all over this nation. Canada was going to sell us their gas now it will go to China. This line was killed for political reasons only.
So when gas is over 5 bucks a gallon blame Obama and a tree hugger.
