The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested Sherry Willhoyt, 51, of Aleo 3rd Ave., Rockingham, for two counts of possession with intent to sell/deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell/deliver a schedule IV controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and selling/delivering a schedule II controlled substance, according to a sheriff’s report. The Sheriff’s Office and Rockingham Police Department arrested Willhoyt on Jan. 27, 2012, for selling prescription pills to officers, reports said. She was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secure bond of $5,000.
In a separate case, Paul Dennis Hale, 60, of Martin Street, Rockingham, was arrested for trafficking in opiates, selling/delivering a schedule II controlled substance, and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. Both the Sheriff’s Office and Rockingham Police Department arrested Hale on Feb. 1, 2012, for selling prescription pills to officers, reports said. Hale was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secure bond of $25,000.
Michael Anthony Primus, 44, of Raleigh Street, Hamlet, was arrested for selling/delivering cocaine, possession with the intent to sell/deliver cocaine, and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, according to a sheriff’s report. The Sheriff’s Office and Rockingham Police Department arrested Primus on Jan. 25, 2012, for selling cocaine, reports said. He was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secure bond of $15,000.
George Jerome Robinson, 44, of McGirt Road, Hamlet, was arrested for selling/delivering cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and simple possession of marijuana, according to a sheriff’s report. The Sheriff’s Office and Rockingham Police Department arrested Robinson on Jan. 25, 2012, for selling cocaine and having possession of a firearm and being a convicted felon, reports said. Robinson was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secure bond of $25,000.
Hollie Leigh Turner, 28, of Hylan Avenue, Hamlet, was arrested and charged with selling/delivering a schedule II controlled substance, the sheriff’s department said. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Turner on Jan. 28, 2012, for selling prescription pills, according to the report. Turner was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secure bond of $5,000.
Understanding Born Marshall, 28, of Brickyard Road, Wallace, S.C., was arrested on a charge of possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Marshall on Jan. 23, 2012, for having possession of a Ford car that had been reported stolen in October from Wake County, a sheriff’s report said. Marshall was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secure bond of $5,000.
Sherry Barnes Bailey, 50, of Rohanen Avenue, Rockingham, was arrested on a charge of obtaining property by false pretenses. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Bailey on Jan. 31, 2012, for using a counterfeit $50 bill to purchase items, reports said. When the store clerk confronted Bailey outside the store she allegedly drove off. Bailey was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secure bond of $2,500.
Valerie Dawn Veach, 37, North Lee Street, Rockingham, was arrested on eight counts of forgery of endorsement, two counts of larceny of chosen action and obtaining property by false pretenses, the Sheriff’s Office said. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Veach on Feb. 1, 2012, for alleged larceny of checks and cashing them at various retail and grocery stores in Rockingham. Veach was charged while in Richmond County Jail on unrelated charges. A secure bond was set in the amount of $15,000.
Larry Ray Almond Jr., 28, Battley Dairy Road, Hamlet, was arrested on a felony larceny charge. According to reports, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrested Almond on Jan. 25, 2012, for larceny of jewelry valued over $17,000. Most of the jewelry has been recovered. Almond was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secure bond of $5,000.
Robert Gray Gainey, 34, Trophy Lane, Laurel Hill, was arrested for breaking and entering and larceny, reports said. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gainey on Jan. 31, 2012, for allegedly breaking into a house on Greywoods Road in Marston and stealing A/C units. Gainey was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secure bond of $10,000.
Travis Ronald Deese, 31, of Alcan Road, Rockingham, was arrested for obtaining property by false pretenses and larceny of a motor vehicle, reports said. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Deese on Jan. 27, 2012, for allegedly taking a car from the victim’s property and selling it at a local scrap yard. Deese was placed in Richmond County Jail under a secure bond of $5,000.
Christopher Andrew Peed, 19, of U.S. Hwy 1 South, Rockingham, was arrested for financial card theft and obtaining property by false pretenses, reports said. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrested Peed on Jan. 25, 2012, for allegedly taking the victim’s credit union credit card and making unauthorized transactions with it. A secure bond was issued.

The Daily Journal lists them all as arrests. People charged are presumed innocent until determined to be guilty by a court of law.
