Late rally lifts Lady Raiders past Hoke

RAEFORD — The Richmond Lady Raiders rebounded from a nine-point deficit in the second half to defeat Hoke County 71-66 in a Mid-Southeastern Conference contest Friday night.

Abril Stroman scored 12 of her team-high 19 points for the Lady Raiders (9-3, 5-2) in the fourth quarter. Richmond entered the final period trailing 44-40.

Salina Bright netted two free throws in the closing moments to seal the victory. Bright finished with 11 points, while Lashey Brown added 15 points and nine rebounds. I’tieonna McLaughlin chipped with 10 points for the Lady Raiders.

Richmond will return to action at Jack Britt Friday at 6 p.m.
