Miss Martha “Jane” Strickland, 76, of 309 Wilmington St., Hamlet, died, Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Richmond Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Hamlet.
She was born May 6, 1935, in Richmond County, daughter of Pete Strickland and Lucy Ellen Cole Strickland.
Miss Strickland previously worked for Georgia Pacific and attended Abundant Life Church.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at Harrington Funeral Home, from 2 to 3 p.m.
At other times the family will meet at the home of her sister, Betty Parks, at 318 Wilmington St., Hamlet.
The funeral service will be Friday at 3 p.m. in the Harrington Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Wilkes and Ruth Charleston officiating.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Strickland; and sisters, Emma Lee Mabe and Rosa Love.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Parks of Hamlet; and brothers, Lonnie Strickland of Rockingham and Edwin Strickland of Asheboro.
Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family of Miss Strickland.
