SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Tyson Pruitte finished fifth, 1.5 points out of third place and a spot on the Junior Olympic team, during the World Archery Youth Championship Trials last week.
Pruitte was among eight participants who qualified for a shoot-off Monday to determine the three archers that would advance to the World Archery Youth Championship in Legnica, Poland next month.
Also during the competition, Pruitte finished fourth in the Compound Cadet Men’s Easton JOAD Nationals. In the team shoot, Pruitte captured the silver.
Pruitte will look to tryout for the inside archery team in the fall.
