Robert and Nora Smith of Rockingham celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 16. The couple were married in Goldsboro in 1951.
They have two children, Dianne Iseman and husband, Jim of Winston-Salem and Mickey Smith of Rockingham. They also have two grandchildren, Jim Iseman and wife, Kate of New York and Rhett Trull and husband, Jeff of Greensboro.
The couple met on a school bus after Mr. Smith went back to finish school after serving in the military.
They couple will spend Father’s Day weekend with their children and also celebrated a week at Sunset Beach and Myrtle Beach with family.
