Mr. Randolph “Randy” Covington, 56, of 506 Charlotte St., Hamlet, died Saturday May 21, 2011, at Sandhills Regional Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 1, 1954, in Richmond County to Ida Mae Covington and the late Walter Covington.
Funeral services will be held Saturday May 28, 2011, at 2 p.m. at St. Peter United Methodist Church with Rev. Angelo Troy officiating. Burial will follow in Mary Love Cemetery.
The body will be placed in the church one hour before service. Public Viewing will be held Friday May 27, 2011, from 1 - 7 7 p.m. at McNeill Funeral Home Chapel.
Surviving are his mother, Ida Mae Covington of the home; four sons, Dedrick Little of Washington, D.C., Christopher Patterson of Lithonia, Ga., Randolph Covington Jr. of Lawrenceville, Ga., Joseph Cox of Hamlet; four sisters, Barbara David, Lucinda Allen and Betty Ewing, all of Hamlet and Nora Covington of Rockingham; two brothers, Glenn Covington and Robert Covington, both of Hamlet.
McNeill Funeral Home of Rockingham is in charge of the arrangements.
