Dear Editor,
What is the current situation with the Rockingham Housing Authority and its search for a new administrator? Will there be any interviews for this position? Why did the Housing Authority allow the out-going administrator, McGill to appoint her choice for an “Interim” administrator? With all due respect, the Rockingham Housing Authority’s checkered past should have schooled the board to be more proactive in the way this organization is run. The board should have been the one to decide who should fill in as “Interim Administrator” while the search for a person dedicated to Richmond County can be found; unlike the last choice, who only stayed six months.

Will there be interviews for the position of Housing Director? If so, who will conduct the interview? The past has shown that the Housing Authority Board isn't that knowledgeable when it comes to HUD Policy's and Regulations. My hope is that they use the PAST Mistakes to make a more Positive FUTURE.
