Do you have ceramic art that you wish to sell for a good cause?
If you would like to contribute art to be sold to raise funds for Japan’s Earthquake-Tsunami victims, Thursday is the last day to submit your work to STARworks Ceramics.
STARworks Ceramics is hosting a special sale of donated ceramics and other artwork to help relief efforts beginning with a special Open House on April 29. The sale will continue online until May 20.
Artwork will be photographed and exhibited at STARworks Ceramics supply shop and online at http://web.mac.com/takurostar.
Guests will be able to go online to select relief organization websites, including the Red Cross, to make donations for the purchase price of the artwork. Purchases may also be made to relief organizations by check made out directly to the relief organizations. All proceeds go directly to the relief organization.
You may purchase pieces online by donated the purchase amount via credit card or check to the Red Cross or other organizations providing relief services to Japan. When you provide a copy of the receipt for your donation, you may pick up your piece at STARworks, or for an additional shipping charge, we will ship directly to you.
All the artwork is donated, and no commissions are being paid. All the hard costs for the event are being provided by STARworks Ceramics. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
If you wish to help, send of drop off your artwork to STARworks Ceramics by Thursday with info about your work (title, medium, value, etc.) and include a comment/statement about Japan. Bring your art to 100 Russell Drive, Star, NC 27356.
