Betty Chloe Honeycutt Burns, 63, of Holiday Village, Rockingham, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at her home.

Mrs. Burns was born June 1, 1947 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Mary Guinn Honeycutt. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett R. Burns and a daughter, Maryann Butler.

Surviving are a son, James Guinn of Rockingham; daughters, Angeline Mitchell and Diane Guinn, both of Rockingham, Tricia Guinn of Shelby; brothers, Matthew Honeycutt of Hamlet, David Honeycutt of Ellerbe; sisters, Mildred Moss and Sarah McCormick, both of Rockingham; step sons, Keith Burns of Gainesville, Ga., Craig Guinn, and Paul Guinn Jr., both of Rockingham; step daughters, Mary Troxler and Janice Guinn, both of Rockingham; 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev Charlie Tyler and Rev. Don Kivett officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery.
