Hattie Glyn Nicholson, 69, of 372 Cabarrus Avenue, Mooresville, died on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born Sept. 3, 1941, daughter of the late George Nicholson Sr. and Bessie M. Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Ashley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Rockingham with the Reverend Ricardo Leak officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Stephens Church Cemetery in Rockingham.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, from 1 - 7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Service in Rockingham and viewing 12 - 1 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the funeral at the church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Robinson and a brother, George Nicholson Jr.

She is survived by four children, Alecia Nicholson of Moore, Oklahoma, Mitchelene Nicholson of Mooresville, Wendy Nicholson of Hamlet and Erica Nicholson of Charlotte; three grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Robinson of Rockingham and Betty Lou Torrance of Kannapolis; two brothers, Robert Nicholson of Mooresville and Billy Nicholson of Durham.
