North Myrtle Beach, S.C. - William McKinley “Bill” Wallace Jr., 83, husband of Lucy French Wallace for 63 years, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at NHC Healthcare in Murrells Inlet, S.C.

Mr. Wallace was born Jan. 30, 1927, in East Rockingham, a son of the late William McKinley Sr. and Lillie Edwards Wallace.

Mr. Wallace was the Owner of B. Wallace & Company of Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand and formerly owned Bill Wallace, Inc. in Rockingham. He was affectionately known as “Bill Jr.” and “Daddy Bill”.

Survivors including his wife are three sons, William Edwards Blaine-Wallace of Lewiston, Maine, Cameron McCrea Wallace of Charlotte and Hugh Jefferson Wallace of Surfside Beach, S.C.; one daughter, Lucy Wallace Oakes of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C.; ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Mr Wallace was a wonderful friend & supporter of Rockingham High
