ROCKINGHAM — A meet-high 19 points in the hurdling events helped the Richmond Senior boys track team earn a slight victory in the Raiders’ season-opening meet Thursday afternoon.

Magic Ward earned a total of 10 points by placing first in both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles with times of 14.98 and 42.84 seconds, respectively. Malik Flowers (16.46s), Shane Summey (16.79s) and Antoine Shaw (17.33s) finished second, third in fourth in the 110m in order to pick up six more points. Summey’s second-place finish in the 300m rounded out the scoring for the boys in the hurdles.
