ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond Senior baseball team’s home game against West Montgomery, which was scheduled for today, has been postponed.

Due to Monday’s weather, all school athletic events were cancelled — including the girls soccer game at Marlboro County and the boys golf match against Hoke County. Baseball, however, will make up its game Wednesday, Mar. 15, at 5 p.m.

Richmond baseball will be looking to take down West Montgomery for the second time in less than a week and bounce back from its first loss of the season to Northwest Guilford on Friday.

In the teams’ first meeting last Thursday, RBI singles from Justin Ingram and Drew Loving helped Richmond earn a 4-2 victory at West Montgomery. Jack Webb would close that game on the mound, retiring the Warriors in order in the bottom of the seventh inning.
