Football seats, parking to go on sale

ROCKINGHAM — Reserved seats and reserved parking for Richmond Senior football home games will go on sale at the school starting Monday, August 1.

The cost for reserved seats and reserved parking is $50 each.

Booster Club memberships will also go on sale Monday at Richmond Senior, Medical Center Pharmacy, Family Pharmacy, and Mabry’s Pharmacy. Those memberships will be $50 and will give the holder admittance to any sport besides football for the 2016-17 school year.

A parking pass for football and a Raider hat will also come with the purchase of a booster club membership.

Soccer registration ends tomorrow

HAMLET — The last day to sign-up for the Hamlet soccer league will be tomorrow, July 29, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hamlet City Hall — the cost is $45 per child.

Those who wish to play must have turned 4-years old by April 30 and could have not turned 13 before April 30.

There will be three different age groups — 4-6 year olds, 7-9 year olds and 10-12 year olds — and players will be in leagues based on their ages as of April 30.

Mt. Sinai hosting youth sports fair

ROCKINGHAM — Children ages 5-18 are welcome to attend a youth sports fair that will be held at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church on Saturday, August 13.

Participants will learn more about four sports — basketball, football, gymnastics and karate — from the likes of Bobby Cooke, Perry Williams, Terri Mack and Sensei Billy Little.

Cooke is a basketball coach and referee, Little is an instructor for the Ebony Dragons, Mack is a licensed fitness instructor and Williams is a former world-class sprinter and a two-time Super Bowl champion.

Pre-registration is required and ends Monday, August 1.

The event costs $10 and will run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. — lunch will be provided.
