The Rockingham Angels all-star team defeated Hope Mills Wednesday night to capture the Dixie Softball state championship in Troy. Rockingham will advance to the World Series in West Monroe, La. The World Series is scheduled to start Aug. 1. Rockingham is currently slated to face the Texas state champion in its first game.
