Twenty-one members of the Ebony Dragons competition team won a total of 36 trophies and awards at the Dojo Knights Karate Championships earlier this month at the Bill Sapp Recreation Center in Lumberton. The team won 19 first-place, 10 second-place, four third-place and two fourth-place trophies. In addition, Sensei Denise Watkins and Denisha Watkins were named grand champions.
