Golf tournament to benefit RSHS athletics
The second annual Richmond Senior Athletics golf tournament is set for 9 a.m. Oct. 17 at Foxfire Resort and Golf. The cost is $75 per person and $300 for a team which includes greens fee, cart fee and lunch. There will be mulligans and red tee tickets available to purchase as well. Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams as well as closest to the pin and longest drive. There will also be a long putt contest. Hole sponsorships are available. Temple Christian cruises in soccer
The Temple Christian soccer team blanked Columbus Christian 9-0 Tuesday evening. Russ Byrd, Thomas Castle and Daniel Sisk all scored two goals for the Tigers. Wade Elliott, Duke Dye and Xavier Pettigrew each netted a goal in the win. Temple Christian will return to action 4 p.m. Friday when it travels to Clinton to face Mintz Christian.
