Day after day, month after month, year after year, we have seen the destruction of this county. Jobs lost, mills torn down, buildings sitting empty and wasting away. We NEED to give land away to get industry back into this county, give tax breaks to get industry in here! Stop with the silly, non-profiting projects that is and has gone on. The Railroad Museum? Why put on this "facelift" of main streets when people are BROKE?? Between gas and food and "trying" to keep up with rent, power and water...we are BROKE!!! Other counties in NC are getting great companies...Why Not Richmond County? Isn't this county the highest in unemployment in NC? Why are our officals not fighting for us? Is there a difference in the ability of our officals and the officals in the counties that are getting the jobs? If you cannot do this for the people of Richmond then maybe all of you should step down! Oh yeah..that's right...your getting paid! You care nothing about the people of this county..it's comes down to social classification and that's it. I am sure you help those that have the money and resources to help you! But for those who cannot help you in any way, like the poor, the homeless, the hungry...you seem to have no time for! Our "officals" will not even address the homelessness in this county! Maybe if you ignore them  they will go away. I promise to do some research to find out who makes what in salary that happens to be paid by taxpayers. I plan to find out how much revenue the Railroad Museum has brought in since it's been built. We need LEADERS who care about this county and the people in it, not just those who are in "clicks" together! GIVE LAND AWAY AND GIVE TAX BREAKS TO COMPANIES SO THAT THEY WILL COME TO OUR COUNTY. We do not need another liquer store, the fact that we have THREE is amazing in itself. The homeless are not just alcoholics and drug addicts, they are people whose jobs have been taken away. There are whole families homeless, children who are homeless, victims of this economically poor county. And all those out there so quick to judge the homeless..watch out! You may find yourselves in the exact situation and I pray someone will give you mercy and a helping hand. And watch that you say that it will never happen to you...
