A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Northam Road and Snead Road in Rockingham turned fatal on Friday night, Nov. 16.

Courtney Deese, 27, of Rockingham, was killed in the collision after another vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, according to NC State Highway Patrol.

Deese’s three children, Ethan, Chase and Kylee, all between the ages of 8 and 5, were passengers in the vehicle driven by Deese.

“Two of the children were flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, while the third was treated at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial,” said Trooper Garner. “Last thing I heard, the children were fine.”

The Daily Journal attempted to check the condition of the children by contacting Carolinas Medical Center, but a spokesperson declined to comment.

I noticed that the driver of the second car isn't mentioned. Wondering why, and curious as to who it was
