Brian Cook of Rockingham has won the $100 second-chance drawing in the Daily Journal’s Golden Football contest.
The Golden Football was discovered on Sept. 26 by Susie Raines of Ellerbe, who walked away with a $500 reward after finding the football at Millstone 4-H Camp in Ellerbe.
Daily Journal readers were then given the chance to enter their names into a special second-chance contest for $100. After the names were drawn, Cook was notified that he was this year’s winner.
In addition to the contest, Bobbie Schaffnit of Rockingham was named the winner of this year’s $100 Best of the Best drawing.
