One of Rockingham’s newest additions to the party scene is Suede, a club now located where City Limits used to be. Starting at 10 p.m. they will host a party with party favors, a DJ and free champagne at midnight. The DJ plans to play Top 40 dance music. Suede is located at 303 E. Washington St. in Rockingham. Fiesta Brava, having recently reopened after losing the first restaurant to a fire, will bring in the new year with celebration all day on Dec. 31. They will open their doors at 11 a.m. and won’t close the kitchen until 11 p.m. They will continue to stay open until 2 a.m. They have a full bar, and will have a DJ and karaoke. The Sports Connection in Hamlet will also celebrate the new year with friends and guests. They will have snacks and drinks, with champagne at midnight. The Sports Connection will open at 4 p.m. and will close at 2 a.m.
