Ruth Marceline Orr and Matthew Elliot Wood were united in marriage on Sept. 1, 2012. Reverend Chris Hawks officiated the 6:30 p.m. rustic country, outdoor ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mitchell Orr and Barbara Orr. She is the granddaughter of the late Archie and Hellon Mudd, and the late Joyce Orr and Otis Orr. Marcie is currently employed with Four Oaks Bank as a teller.
The groom is the son of Janice Russell and the late Tony Wood. He is the grandson of the late Steele and Eloise Wood, and Millie Russell and the late Lewis Russell. Matthew is currently employed with Progress Energy as a power plant operator.
Their daughters, Cheyenne Wood and Carleigh Gibson, were the flower girls and wore white pillowcase dresses with an eyelet trim. The groom’s son, Jakob Wood, served as the ring bearer.
They spent their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic. The couple resides in Rockingham.
