Louise was born Oct. 7, 1919, in Anson County, a daughter of the late Clay Battle and Retta Moree Dutton. She was a very active member of Glenwood United Methodist Church. She worked at Beaunit Mill/Avondale as a personnel/payroll administrator. She was preceded in death by her husband James ”Doc” Guinn as well as brothers Herman, George, Wilburn, Oscar, and Joyce Lee Dutton, and one sister Ollie Dutton English.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Guinn and wife Connie, of Rockingham and Donald Guinn and wife Sara of Raleigh; one brother, Lindy Dutton of Winston-Salem; one sister, Ruby Ingold of Hamlet; three grandchildren, Brian Guinn and wife Heather, Adam Guinn and wife Erica and Jason Guinn; and one great-grandchild, Ella Marie Guinn. She is also survived by a very close niece Jean Dutton Capps and husband Bill.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Glenwood United Methodist Church with Rev. Joel Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
