Raymond and Anne DeWitt Lomax of Derby celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on May 12, 2012, with a garden reception held at Jones Springs United Methodist Church.

Hosts were their children, Lucinda Sullivan of Raleigh and her family and Doug Lomax of Ellerbe and his family. The celebration was enjoyed by family and friends.

The couple was married May 5, 1957, at the church parsonage in Wadesboro, and have lived in Derby since their wedding.

They have five grandchildren, Drew, Challie and Harrison Sullivan and Collin and Conley Lomax.

Raymond is retired from Clark Chevrolet-Cadillac of Pinehurst and Anne continues to work part-time at North State Farms in Ellerbe.
