L.J. Bell Elementary School announces spelling bee winners

L.J. Bell Elementary School hosted a spelling bee on Dec. 13 in the Media Center.  There were eight contestants.  Each fourth and fifth grade class had classroom spelling bees and the winner from each classroom was present at the school bee. The winner of the spelling bee was Chloe O'Neal (center), first runner-up was Madison Jordan (right) and third runner-up was Ally Murray (left). Chloe was presented a championship trophy and will represent L.J. Bell at the county wide spelling bee on Jan. 30 at the Central Services Office. L.J. Bell would like to give a special thanks to several people for helping us during our spelling bee.  Pam Easterling, a Richmond County school board member was the pronouncer for the bee, Tommy Jarrell, president of the PTO and Martha Massey, Speech pathologist for L.J. Bell were the judges.
