Yolanda Michelle Griffin and Mark Anthony Hyde, both of Hamlet, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. Leonard and Mrs. Dorothy Hawkins of Rockingham and the late Thomas Ray Ratliff Sr. She is a 1987 graduate of Richmond Senior High, a 1995 graduate of Richmond Community College with an ADN, a 1999 graduate of Richmond Community College with an AS, a 2000 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BSN, a 2003 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a MSN and a 2009 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a PhD in Nursing.
She is currently employed as an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro as well as a Patient Placement Coordinator at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Margaret Hyde of Rockingham and Clifford Hyde of Baltimore, Md. He is a 1987 graduate of Richmond Senior High. He is currently employed with Wade Manufacturing of Rockingham.
A 6:30 p.m. wedding is planned for June 30, 2012, at Ashley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.
