Mr. David Prenell Ratliff, 37, of Rockingham, died on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. He was born Nov. 2, 1973, son of Eddie Ratliff and the late Leberta Watkins Ratliff.

He graduated from Richmond Senior High School and was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church. He was employed at Richmond Pines Country Club.

He is survived by his father, Eddie Ratliff of the home; nine sisters, Cathy Ledbetter, Mary Allen, Michelle Terry, Brinder Jones, Cherneise Wall and Charlene Ratliff all of Rockingham, Sarah Robinson of Candor, Minnie Ratliff and Jennifer Ratliff of the home; two brothers, Eddie Ratliff Jr. and Michael Ratliff of the home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Rockingham with the Pastor, Rev. Dora R. Dorsey, officiating. Burial will follow in the Philadelphia United Methodist Church cemetery.
