Virginia Yancey Ariail and Michael David Thompson, both of Chapel Hill, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Richmond Senior High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts, Exercise and Sport Science in 2009 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and in 2011, received a Master of Sport and Entertainment Management from the University of South Carolina. She is the daughter of David and Pridie Ariail of Rockingham.
The groom-elect a 2002 graduate of Wesleyan Christian Academy. He received a Bachelor of Science, Sociology in 2007 from Appalachian State University, and in 2011 received a Bachelor of Science, Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management from North Carolina State University.Sam and Lea Thompson of Madison.
A 5 p.m. wedding is planned for Oct. 6, 2012, on Bald Head Island.
