To the editor:
As a World War II veteran, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people involved in what they did for the veterans this week.
First, my wife, Sarah, and I enjoyed the entertainment and meal at Liberty Place. Next, we had a wonderful day at (Richmond County) Hospice. There was a good crowd present. We enjoyed all the speeches and performers and the great meal.
The thing that touched the most was when our Sheriff James Clemmons gave a speech and said the prayer before the meal. He did a wonderful job.
Our county should be grateful for our sheriff. Way to go sheriff!
