To the editor:

I read Barbara Jackson’s letter about me (“Liberals squelch conservative speech,” April 8). While I don’t agree with what she says in her letters, I realize she is a human being who could have died from cancer. We may have differing views, but I am glad she’s well.

And while I agree with a lot of what Patti Almanza says, she was absolutely wrong in attacking Barbara while she was sick. Right is right and wrong is wrong, I don’t care if you are liberal or conservative.

My father passed away last year. One of the most valuable things he taught me was to respect the opinions of others and to take the high road. I believe if we started respecting each other, this would be a much better place.

Rest in peace, Dad. God bless everyone!
