To the editor:
I guess I was raised in an era where trick-or-treat was safe and nobody would ever consider hurting a child, especially in my neighborhood. As things do, that has changed.
My grandchildren were trick-or-treating in Pinecroft on Rice Street Extension where this guy thought it would be funny to scare this child to death. She was screaming and shaking, but that didn’t seem to deter him any. She was sick the rest of the night and her night of fun had ended.
All I can say is: He was a real class act!
