DETROIT — Former Richmond Senior standout Justin Jackson signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent the team announced Monday.
Jackson was one of 11 players signed by the Lions following last weekend’s NFL draft. Jackson is the only linebacker in the group.
Jackson closed out his senior season at Wake Forest with 56 total tackles, four quarterback hurries, two sacks, two pass breakups and an interception. For his career, Jackson finished with 193 total tackles, 19 1/2 tackles for loss, seven sacks, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
Jackson will look to become the third former Raider to make a current NFL roster, joining Miami’s Dannell Ellerbe and San Diego’s Melvin Ingram.
