ROCKINGHAM — Police on Monday arrested a man accused in a Saturday shooting at a city home.


Rockingham police say Kevin Robert Williams, 20, of 201 Watson Ave., shot 20-year-old Jaquale Isaac at 1324 Cauthen Drive. Isaac was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital the same day, Detective Sgt. Donavan Young said.


Police and Richmond County sheriff’s deputies investigated the shooting and arrested Williams on Monday afternoon.


Williams was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, discharging a firearm in the city limits, possession of a handgun by a minor and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.


Lawmen booked Williams into the Richmond County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond.
