ROCKINGHAM — A traffic stop landed a Richmond County man behind bars on assault, gun and drug charges, according to Richmond County sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies say Jonathan Monroe Wilson, 34 of Crawford Road outside Ellerbe, had marijuana, meth and a concealed handgun when he was stopped June 30.

Wilson was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon and assault on a female.

He was jailed under a $10,000 secured bond.
