ROCKINGHAM — The Rockingham Housing Authority is inviting families to attend its annual Back-to-School Bash from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Falling Creek Recreational Park. The event is open to the general public.
Free school supplies will be available while supplies last. Sponsors are Bennett’s Fire Extinguisher, John Grossi, Bobby Singletary, CPA, Murphy Electric Supply, Longs Pool Center, the Banks Law Firm, Griffin Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Helms Jewelry.
Kids can check out the “Rockin’ Rollin’ Video Game Truck,” which will be on hand courtesy of Covenant Enterprise Painting.
The Friendly Neighborhood Dental Van will be on-site offering comprehensive dental care Most insurance is accepted.
The Rockingham Police Department will provide youth fingerprinting.
Attendees also can enjoy free food while supplies last and take part in kids’ games and activities.
Door prizes will be given out at the event, and organizers are accepting canned goods for door prize tickets. Attendees will receive one ticket for every two canned food items they bring.
Canned goods will be donated to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
