ROCKINGHAM — Sheriff’s deputies are asking the public to help them identify two cigarette bandits who broke into a Richmond County convenience store on Monday.

The thieves forced their way into Alco No. 15 at 804 U.S. 220 outside Rockingham and stole a large quantity of cigarettes, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies describe them as two black men who were in a newer-model white four-door Toyota Corolla.

Anyone who recognizes the men or the car or who saw anything at the site of the store break-in is asked to call the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 910-895-3232 or Crime Stoppers at 910-997-5454.
