Sheriff’s deputies have charged a Rockingham man with breaking into the same home twice in a three-week span.

Marcus Donnelle Taylor, 17, of 411 Bryan St., broke into a Luther Street home April 20 and Monday, according to arrest warrants. Richmond County deputies arrested Taylor on Tuesday.

Taylor is accused of stealing about $1,400 in cash during the April break-in and making off with a blue lockbox under the Luther Street resident’s bed on Monday, court documents state.

Deputies charged Taylor with two counts each of felony breaking or entering and larceny after breaking or entering and one count of felony safecracking.

Taylor was booked into the Richmond County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. He’s scheduled to appear in district court on May 29.
